Mark Fernandes
Mark Fernandes is a Managing Director at Sierra Ventures and focuses on software investments in the consumer internet and enterprise areas. His investments include Frontbridge Technologies (acquired by Microsoft), Sourcefire (NASD: FIRE) and Opalis Software (acquired by Microsoft). He was also a board observer at Net6 (acquired by Citrix Systems) and Permeo (acquired by Blue Coat Systems). He serves on the boards of Ooyala, Spotzer Media and DynamicOps. Fernandes started his career in product management at Seagate Technology and Cisco Systems. After business school, Fernandes was an equity research analyst covering software companies, first at Robertson Stephens and then as a Director at Merrill Lynch. He joined Sierra Ventures in 2002. Mark has a MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a MBA from Harvard.
Alan Freudenstein
Alan Freudenstein is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse Securities, Principal Investments. Prior to joining the Firm in 2000, Freudenstein was a Managing Director at Bankers Trust Company, where he was responsible for incubation and venture investments within the new world ventures group. He was previously a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton and an equity research analyst at Salomon Brothers. Freudenstein received a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago
Rich Krueger
Rich Krueger is CEO at DynamicOps. Prior to DynamicOps, Krueger was EVP Business Development at Incipient, a storage virtualization company. During his tenure he initiated and completed strategic relationships with three of the largest storage OEMs. Prior to Incipient, Krueger served as Vice President of Business Development for Continuum Software (acquired by Astoria as LightSpeed Software). Krueger holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He earned his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Rutgers University.
Peter Norley
Peter Norley is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and Global Chief Operating Officer of Equities and Global Arbitrage Trading within the Investment Banking division, based in New York. He is a member of the Global Equities Management Committee. Norley joined Credit Suisse First Boston in August 1997 and has since filled various business and support rolls in the London and New York offices. He holds a degree in Business and Finance from the University of Southampton and is a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in London.
Dharmesh Thakker (Observer)
Dharmesh Thakker is an Investment Director at Intel Capital, focusing on cloud infrastructure, big data and embedded software investments. He is actively involved on the boards of DynamicOps, Guavus Analytics, and enLighted. He joined Intel Capital from Advanced Technology Ventures where he supported enterprise software and cleantech investments. Earlier, at Keynote Systems (KEYN), Thakker helped grow recurring SaaS revenue from $0 to $20mm in two years. He was also an early team member at InterNetwork (acquired by FinePoint) and Peakstone (acquired by Entrust). Thakker received his MBA from Wharton and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is on the Advisory Board for The University of Texas Commercialization Office as well as industry groups including TiE Angels and VentureBeat.
